YEAR 11 student Eanna Flynn has been commended for bravery after showing great strength of character in helping to bring a criminal to justice.
The 16-year-old received a commendation from Nottinghamshire Police after witnessing a crime on her way home from school. After reporting the incident Eanna’s description of the offender and detailed witness statement helped police track down – and later charge – someone with an offence.
The certificate presented to Eanna by Notts Chief Superintendent Mark Holland during a special ceremony at Mansfield Town football ground read: “Your actions helped keep the public safe and you are commended for your bravery and public spirited actions.”
The student, who showed great sense of purpose and is rightly proud of the commendation, says she would tell other students in a similar situation to stay safe and keep calm but to always help.
