Carlton le Willows’ caring and resepctful community has been praised in a testimonial following a visit by Pintsize Theatre Company.
In a letter addressed to Mr Tomlinson, all staff and students, Pintsize manager Ian Court thanked everyone for the wonderfully warm welcome they received when they came in to deliver their SRE play and workshop ‘LUVU2’.
Mr Court’s letter said: “Delivery of this project has occurred over three years now and Carlton le Willows Academy has stood out as a superb example of what a school can achieve when it prioritises pastoral care.
“The school is obviously a strong community, based on mutual respect and concern for others – from the site staff to the teachers, students and office staff, our impression is of a community working incredibly hard to create a positive environment for all within it; striving not only for academic achievement but also to inculcate values of mutual care and respect for others.”
He went on to thank students for being an ‘exemplary audience’ and described the students who volunteered to be involved in the role play as “particularly mature and thoughtful in their contribution to the day. Your students were a credit to themselves and their school.”
