ACADEMY student Courtney Marke’s dedicated and professional approach has won her the royal seal of approval after the talented singer got the chance to meet Prince Harry.
Courtney (14), was chosen to meet the popular royal during his visit to Nottingham’s Council House when he saw members of the St Anns recording studio CRS perform excerpts from a recent production.
For many, meeting a member of the Royal family would be a once in a lifetime opportunity – but for Year 9 student Courtney this is the second time she has met the prince.
“I performed in front of Prince Harry when he visited CRS in December and he said I should definitely keep on going towards realising my dream as I’m a great singer,” said Courtney. “It was just amazing. I was thrilled to get the chance to meet him again. He is such a lovely, genuinely nice person.”
During her trip to the Council House, Courtney also enjoyed a tour of the Lord Mayor’s offices conducted by the Lord Mayor himself Coun Mohammed Saghir.
